Gymnastics

Emma's been going to gymnastics now since September 2009. She upgraded to the class with the older kids this year which is in a larger area with more advanced equipment. In the above video, she's showing her forward roll skill. She does this at home as well but it's usually after climbing on me and making me hold her legs for a handstand. Fun for her, not so much for me...

In the class, there is a circuit set up each week that is pretty much just an obstacle course.

Emma loves loves loves the trampoline. I would get her one of these for home but I don't think I'd ever get her off of it. Not to mention that she'd probably jump right over the bar and hurt herself. Wow, that was a mom thing to say...

Lastly, here is Emma doing her jumps down the big trampoline. She's supposed to walk back on the grey strip next to the trampoline but she has ideas of her own. In her defense, she does think about coming back the right way but abandons the thought in favor of the more direct route!

Mr. Knickerbocker

I know there are those out there that are anti Barney but we tend to watch him quite often. What can I tell you, the tunes are catchy! Here Emma shows that she got her rhythm as well as her ability to sing correct lyrics from her dad, not me.

Real Halloween!

Emma went trick-or-treating with Kaelen and Ryan. We were on the early side but we did manage to find one family ready with candy.

Emma went trick-or-treating at a few houses around home but then decided she'd rather give candy out to the other kids. It was a very cold night to be outside.
